The exciting new initiative, supported by Invest NI, has been formed by 5 key partner companies (Citi, CME Group, Fidessa, First Derivatives and SR Labs), along with the Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology (ECIT) at Queen’s University Belfast and the Intelligent Systems Research Centre (ISRC) at University of Ulster - a collaboration that will have enormous positive impacts for the greater Northern Ireland economy.

Through innovation, skills enhancement and promotion of entrepreneurship, CMCN aims to position Northern Ireland as a global centre of excellence for R&D in Capital Markets Engineering and the location of choice for FDI in this sector.

Utilising the partner companies’ unparalleled market intelligence and the Universities’ world leading capabilities in low latency processing and data analysis, CMCN believes there is potential to produce market transforming technology and expertise that will help create ground breaking and world-leading products and services.
